Southern Self Storage has once again partnered with Palm Beach County’s Youth For Christ organization to help raise funds for their teen ministry. Both storage locations in West Palm Beach held consecutive yard sales in April which helped the organization raise more than $2,500. The turnout was great, with over 300 people coming out to support this worthy cause and they were not disappointed in what they found. In addition to the yard sale, there was a car wash, blood drive, pet adoption and up to 10 different food trucks at one site. Both West Palm Beach locations plan on hosting another fundraising event in fall.

Southern Self Storage is expanding its regional locations with the latest acquisition in Port Richey, FL. Formerly Embassy One U-Store, this newest facility brings the Southern Self Storage group to 21 stores in the state of Florida. With over 52,000 sq. ft. of rentable space, the location boasts both indoor and outdoor units on enclosed grounds accessible by a digital gate system. “This facility has many of the qualities that we look for” says Regional Manager Donald Toler. “It’s centrally located and already has a great tenant base that we can build on. The facility has 461 units with approximately 70% air conditioned space to non-air conditioned space which is an ideal mix that we typically look for”. Construction on the property located at 6647 Embassy Blvd in Port Richey, FL was completed in 2008 and therefore meets strict building codes that have been passed in recent years.
“We’ve already started our rebranding efforts” says Marketing Manager Tresha Powe. “We hope to have a grand re-opening ceremony in June that will allow members of the Port Richey community to meet the team and see all of the wonderful improvements made”. The company prides itself on strong community involvement and confirms that things will be no different for its Port Richey location.
